It crashes on my machine as well. Surprisingly, an older version works fine.

If you would like to try this older version, please PM me your mail.

And Menno is working to fix this bug.

It seems to work over here on my Pentium 4 Windows ME system. No crashes or anything, weird bugs biggrin.gif Sometimes I never get computers wink.gif

Cheers for the release and binaries, Menno and Rjamorim

I've had some crashes earlier with earlier versions but it just seem like there was a problem with the installation of the OS and Winamp... I haven't had a single FAAD2 crash in months now, since I reinstalled everything... smile.gif

It seems there's a curse upon me.

I had this bug when I used Win98 and an AMD K6-2 500

Since then, I upgraded the hardware (AMD XP 1500+) and OS (Win2000)

And the bug is still there. sad.gif

It crashes Winamp when I try to play an AAC, but the plugin loads fine and I can even configure it. ???

Anyway, instead of fixing this bug, menno is adding AAC playback to the in_mp4 plugin - what should make development and distribution easier as well. smile.gif

It seems pretty strange really.???

I used to run a PIII-500 with ME and the only problems I ever had were when trying to use my first MinGW32 compiles back at the end of last year.

More recently, I have switched to a 1Ghz Athlon and Win2K still with no problems. I compile the libs with MSVC 6, or 7, and the actual plugin with ICL6(in truth I may as well compile the whole thing with MSVC!!). ICL compiles failed, but so long as the libs are MSVC compiled, there's no problem. I've also made a MinGW32(GCC3.0) plugin compile and that also runs fine on my system!!

Essentially, the only difference between my system and Roberto's is that I use the old Athlon and he uses an AthlonXP! But I'd be amazed if it was that causing the problem!!

The WA3 component sounds great and plays flawlessly in WA3 Final with the following exceptions:

* No progress bar
* Display lists "44100hz 16BPS 2CH" as opposed to "174KBPS Stereo 44KHZ"

Hmm, yeah, that's because that's not implemented yet. I'll see that that works in a few weeks.
