What is that ?
http://www.audiompeg.com

It is real? Philips, FT, TDF, BRW and IRT are now asking for royalties too in mp3 case?
Seems strange, as the website looks very amateurish...

QUOTE
Among this patent pool, there are some  PATENTS that are used by any product capable of encoding and/or decoding and/or processing MPEG Audio Layer 3 (MP3) data streams or files.

Well does that mean that every app capable of showing the playtime of an MP3 requires one of theirs patents? Because, if you're not encoding or decoding, then you must be processing the file? Does EncSpot fall into this category of processing...?

They might have some patents but they do not enforce them, and probably they won't ever...
