My sounds are not working right. I am using the rca digital out and
whenever there is suppose to be a sound there is none it seems the audio
isn't staying on unless there is constant audio. For example I start
playing an mp3 the song starts playing but I don't hear anything untill
2-3 seconds into the song. Or a friend speaks on a chat program and I
don't hear what he says unless he talks for more then the sound time
delay. I looked for a solution but haven't really found anyone with this
problem. Please help me

I have a p4c800-e deluxe mobo

It is likely that your amplifier doesn't turn on if there isn't constant signal coming from digital rca input. You can try to play something at inaudible (but still existant) volume on the background.
