Congratulations for those great plugins (ui columns and the panels). Everything is almost perfect and I'm very happy that my old request has been considered.

My wishlist/Suggestion :

a - Memorize the selection made in the albumlist (or the playlist panel) and implement browser-like "back" and "forward" buttons that would enable to recall seamlessly previously selected positions in the playlist or albumlist panels(or any other like history or temple - see request 5/ below). Those buttons could be made available in the toolbar (like the history buttons) or as part of the sidebar

b - Enable "Playlist/Highlight playing item" menu to work not only on the playlists but also with the albumlist. If 1a/ is implemented that should be feasible as far as I understand

- Implement a selection/filter or dbsearch facility as a panel

- Double clicking on panels titles would expand each panel to the whole of the sidebar and minimize the others (common behavior in this kind of interface)

- Cover Art panel of course ... with an option to select between "now playing" and "selected track"

- Make some (global) variables available as formatting string when a column is selected for sorting. This would enable to change the view design (eg swith to "single" view when the track title column is used for sorting from an "album" view). If there is another way to imlement this I'd like to know.

- Implement foo_temple and reimplement foo_history as panels. As they both represent a collection of songs, that would require the "sidebar on the four sides" capability or preferably a splitter in the main display area with a capability to customize the view scheme (with columns + a global variable available in the column design for instance indicating the origin of the selection: playlist, albumlist, history, etc... ). Note that the history panel is working on my config despite what I've read somewhere.

a - Implement hierachical playlists with an explorer style presentation to enable the grouping of playlist by genre, moods, owners, etc. ...

b - Dynamic playlist could also be included, based on the extended playlist generator that could work in real time and integrated in the playlist panel if we had the option to distinguish between standard (static) and dynamic playlists

- Get rid of the "autosend to playlist" and the "albumlist" playlist name. It seems to me this is just a workaround not to modify the core which given this new UI should handle a collection of songs whatever is the origin (playlist, albumlist, history, temple, etc. ...). Probably not so easy to implement .... as far as i understand.

- Enable the scroll wheel to change the volume when the mouse is in the volume control toolbar. I'm sure everyone will love this one and it has been done on the foopilot look IIRC

- an equalizer panel .... why not

Congratulations again ....
