Great tool, love the graphical representation, helps a lot when cutting/fading.
Unfortunately the previous version still had problems with some VBR files. Spent half an hour setting cue points only to find out most where way off the mark - will try the new version.
Big thanks to Martin Pesch for sharing his tool.
This is agreat tool..I saw there is a software which can cut mp3 and vorbis too-and i saw that here on this forum but is it any program which can do that for windows but with gui as i am not a big fan of command line programs
do you think there is a problem with cutting lame vbr files (--ps) ?
thanks

Checked with
LameTag and first thought it only concerned early LAME versions without LAME tag (LAME tags were introduced with LAME version 3.90, according to the above mentioned applet). But now tried a 3.92 ape file and again some cue points were couple of secondes off the mark.

I also use it a lot but I think the graphical representation is frustrating,
especially the way that line in the centre shows the current position.
And selecting a part of a file is kinda tricky.
A Cool Edit / Audition -like solution would be a lot more handy IMHO.

so I'd need an extra program that updates the mp3-header? The files are encoded in --preset standard, LAME 3.96

No offense (i knew that program) but i was thinking in a more visual-like interface. That's why i used the term OggVorbisDirectCut.
