Hi,
i've made some extensions to the directsound output plugin v2.0. Now you can specify different fade length for pausing, skipping/stopping and seeking, as well as different fade curves. I also fixed an issue with emulated sound drivers, which limited the output to 8-bit (at least for me).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks, it works but sounds quite different from v2.0. v2.0 has more treble subjectively. v2.5 sounds closer to the standard version.

Why is this?

Would be good to have clarified the differences amongst wave mapper and DS versions. wink.gif

And where exactly do you get the idea from that different versions of direct sound should have different frequency responses.

In case you make such statements could you please provide us with valid abx results of those claims.

One thing that I am almost certain of is that no matter what output you choose (direct sound (all versions), wave out, or kernel streaming) you will not have difference in the way they reproduce trebles.

Please explain; why should this be so unless the digits are different.
