My wife regularly would like to purchase a Book on CD.
However EAC doesn't seem to recognize the CD as Audio.
Are they coded different than music CDs (cda)?
How would I rip to backup her Book CDs?

Do the cds play in PCs only or also in normal players?

What does your computer show as the disc's content and the content's file type?

I would recommend to try Alcohol 100%. I have used it to create a backup for 'mixed media' type of CD (music + presentation), called 'Blue Book Format'. Alcohol 100% automatically recognized the media type. There is a good chance it will recognize whatever format you want to duplicate. Warning: this is *not* a freebee, but you can download evaluation copy and give it a shot. In wizard mode, it just sucks the contents in, then ask you to remove the source and insert a blank CD, and then creates a copy. Very nice!

The BOOK on CD, the CD would NOT play in my PC CD-ROM!
It does, however, play on regular CD Players?

Nothing! My PC CD-ROm doesn't see anything.

It seems to be a copy protected audio CD then. Try using another drive.
