May I know what is the difference between LE low complexity and HE high efficiency. Any differences in quality ?

BTW what does downmix to mono realy do ?

Thanks
SirGrey
Use search.
LC - normal mode, like layer 3, ogg and others.
HE - uses special tools (SBR) to lower bitrate (at about half)
I think, downmix to mono do what it really means - downmix signal to mono...
Audio Vox
Which one would suit for high bitrates ?
Garf
Use LC AAC for high bitrates.

LC
SirGrey
Repost bitrates different modes are designed for (2ch signal):
PS - <48Kbit
HE - >48Kbit and <96Kbit
LC - >96Kbit
Based on Nero tests with their encoder and may change in the future...

Audio Vox
You mean the ''Advanced Audio Codec'' that uses the CLI extention.
Latexxx
MPEG-4 Advanced Audio Coding I mean. If you need hardware compatibility with DVD players, use dolby digital or dts.

Any codecs you can suggest for dolby and dts ?

Where can I get mpeg-4 aac ?
Garf
The Nero codec supports MPEG-4 AAC. (and MPEG-2 AAC, which are very similar except the MPEG-4 version has some extra tools such as PNS).

But nero doesn't support multichannel.
Garf
Of course it does!

I've encoded an audio track and encoded it in 2channel, encoded the same track using wav and reulted in 5 channels instead.

BTW if i burn an acc file using DVD/Audio how wil lthe files appear on the DVD ?

Like the normal audio cds or just data ?
