I tried Nero AAC codec with these settings: LC CBR 128Kbps and playing my encoded files with foobar2K I noticed that there's an heavy lowpass cut, from the graph of foobar it seems to me that the cut starts with frequency quite low (about 15KHz) while lame, that's supposed to be less efficient than AAC, at 128Kbps tends to apply the cut at about 17-18KHz. Can anybody tell me why?
I also have another question (quite silly) when I encode with nero aac and 128 or 192 Kbps (cbr) the bitrate reported by foobar and also by nero mp is 127 or 190...why?
Thanks
