JayDPiii
I have EAC set up via all of the Tutorials I found from "The Radical Guide...", "The Coaster Factory", etc.

I have LAME 3.90.3 - the recommended.

Of course all of these are dated 2002.

Using these guides EAC has the LAME settings as follows:

%l--alt-preset 128%l%h--alt-preset standard%h %s %d

Question 1.) With LAME 3.90.3 are the above EAC default settings for LAME equivalent to VBR of the 192 range? (From what I've read, I would like VBR 192)

Question 2.) The 128% concerns me, should I change it to 192?

Question 3.) What is the difference between the above EAC settings and the reccomended setting of simply "--alt-preset standard"?

Thank you.

This setting simply means that if you select the High Quality radio button below you will get --alt-preset standard (VBR) and if you select Low Quality you will get --alt preset 128 (ABR).

If you will always want --alt-preset standard then you can just use the following command line in EAC instead: --alt-preset standard %s %d

Thank you! That simple answer clears it all up!
