My laptop integrated chipsed it quite bad (even making interference noise when muted).
As it is quite hard to work with it, I was wondering if someone has an unused soundcard that I could use on this.

As it is a laptop, it would need to be in PCCard or USB format.

If you provide your PayPal account name I could donate you a few euros as a means to thank you for all the hard work you did in LAME development. If a few other people here at HA did the same you could buy yourself a brand new, cutting edge soundcard and continue to even further improve open source audio compression software
