Full Version: mp3 to cda?

Hello. This is my first time here. I am hoping someone will be able to help me with a question.

I am interested in burning my mp3 audio tracks to cda so that I can play them on my car/home stereo. I have tried using Nero and Windows Media Player, but neither of them keeps the song titles (they end up being named as Track01, track02, etc..). Also, I have not been able to play these files on my home/car stereo, the CD player can't seem to read them.

Can anyone give me some suggetions on what software to use that will accomplish this (allow me to play on car/home stereo AND keep the song titles), or what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks.

The CD-Audio standard doesn't support titles to be included natively, however you can add titles through the CD-Text extention - some CD-players support this extention, others don't and will ignore it.

Look for somewhere in your Nero preferences that mensions CD-text and make sure it's activated.

I advise you to burn at 4x to 16x burning speed range because of the CD-Player compatibility.

OK. I tried using Burrn and made sure that CD-Text was turned on. BUT, the track titles still do not show after burning. I also, burned at only 4x. How do I get the track titles to show on the burned CD? PLEASE! smile.gif

Not all CD burners support burning CD Text. Make sure your burner supports it.

and the cd player itself must also able to read/show the cd text (though most do, there are quite a few that don't).
