Is there any field that records the date/time that a file was added to the database? Or is there any plug-in that does this? I've had a bit of a search around but I can't find anything on this.

It's just that I'd really like to be able to sort by my most recently added music.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there is any way to get this plug-in to automatically add the date for any new files added to a playlist/database, or do you have to manually add it each time?

(P.S. I asked this over at the plug-in's discussion thread, but that was a few days ago and I haven't had a reply yet.)

It is possible for a component to monitor when files are added to the database, but probably not a good idea to trigger database updates from within that callback. Perhaps database info filter services are in order to implement various persistent info fields.

You have to tag files manually. I don't know anyway of tagging it manually or get this info from the database (without tagging the files). Another thing missing ATM is the possibility of call via string formatting the current system time, for ex. to compare it with the added date and get a 'fresh/new files' updated playlist (via extended playlist generator).

Cheers.
