Hello guys, first, sorry for my bad English... I'll try to do my best to be well understood.

I'm using foobar2000 with Columns UI and neksus' Azrael theme...

When the "Show dynamic info in playlist" option is checked under the Display menu in Preferences, there's some "<" characters beside the playing title..

Is there any way to modify this "<" character by something else? If it's possible, where's located the string to modify?

Here's my foobar2000 interface...

Press Ctrl-P, select "Display - Columns UI" in the tree structure on the left of the Prefs window, select the Columns tab on the right, select Track in the Columns list. Find "<<<" in the large text subwindow on the right, replace it with whatever you like.

Hello oudalrich and thank you for taking the time to answer, the place you're suggesting me to check is the first place I looked when I wanted to modify thi "<" character, with no real succes...

Here's what I see:

CODE
$if(%_isplaying%,♪♫ )
// Various Artist
$if(%_is_various%,%_artistv%|%_artistvs%%artist% '-' )
// Title
$if(%title%,
$if(%_isplaying%,$replace(%_titlep%|%_titles%%_c_title%,
'(',%_bonus%'(',')',')'%_tplay%),
$replace(%_title%|%_titles%%_c_title%,
'(',%_bonus%'(',')',')'%_title%|%_titles%)),
%_file%%_filename%)
// Bonustrack
$if(%bonustrack%,%_bonus%*Bonus Track*)
%_titlep%|%_titles%%_now_play%

As you can notice, there's not trace of anything looking like "<<<" :S
It looks like Azarel uses a different formatting string structure or I don't
know..

It's really pissing me off because these damn characters are the only thing that annoy me in my foobar2000 interface right now tongue.gif

Just curious, how did you skin your wxp to look like that? I like it...

On topic, did you try copy-pasting to notepad and doing a search for <, just in case you had missed it?

I guess you should search the Globals section in the Columns UI prefs for an assignment to "now_play".

Good morning Supernaut, I'm using the "RoyalFour" theme by TestyAmoeba which you can find here at deviantART wink.gif

What do I need to use the theme linked above? Is it for StyleXP, Windowblinds or what?

I think I tried Windowblinds years ago, but it didn't work that well at that time. I guess it's alot better now, as I see so many people here use such themes.

You only need a patched uxtheme.dll file (no need for WindowsBlind, Style XP and bloated stuff like that anymore)

Neowin.net uxtheme.dll patcher
(You must patch your uxtheme.dll file in Safe Mode. The sofware linked above will create a backup copy of your original uxtheme.dll file)

After uxtheme.dll is patched to allow third party themes to be used, Royal Four theme must be unzipped in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\RoyalFour" and applied in "Control Panel / Display / Appearance"

Thanks, you just confirmed what I've read after asking my question. So, now I'm ready to go smile.gif

Btw: I like your playback buttons. Do you have a link to where they can be found, or can you upload them in case you made them yourself?

Edit: typo

Here's a pack containing my foobar2000 folder (buttons located in sub-folder "buttons")
