Full Version: HTML Playlist Generation

Mac
I would like to be able to make a html playlist of all my music. I'd want it to show the length, bitrate, and file size of each track, as well as it's filename. The standard facility in Winamp 2.8 doesn't do enough, and the only plugin I found in Winamp could do everything I wanted, but only for mp3 files. I've tried things like MusicMatch jukebox which was a waste of time, and I tried helium2, but that wouldn't work with some error about XML not being installed?! Just a simple utility would be great! smile.gif

I use Helium2 and it works great. I'd suggest getting Helium to work for you... it's not the software, it's something on your system.

The HTML reports are very nice and customizable.

I like MAC (MPEG Audio Collection), a freeware program available here: http://www.jfaul.de/

If anyone knows of any similar tools for Linux, let me know.

The MAC tool looks pretty nice! One problem, it doesn't support AAC.

I emailed the author :

I don't have any infos about the AAC file format header, so I can't extract
bitrate, sample rate etc.

Could someone put up the info here so I can mail it to him as a reply? [roberto!] Thanks smile.gif

Try this:
http://www.audiocoding.com/wiki/index.php?page=AAC

The information can be found under the ADTS and the ADIF link (those are the 2 header formats for AAC from which the required info can be subtracted).
