Please excuse me if my questions have been asked before-
I have been downloading music-mostly old soul stuff using win mx and when playing back it is often a problem with levels. I run some of the tracks through mp3 gain but this tool seems to make the songs sound "bassier"

Can anyone advise of a tool that will alter the volumes which will enable me to transfer on to c.d without constantly moving the volume up and down.

regards

MP3Gain doesn't actually change the music itself, it only controls the playback volume level. So I see two possibilities:

a) The 'bassier' feel is psychological because mp3gain will lower the volume of most files.
b) You are mp3gaining mp3pro files.
