hi~ I post this topic in MP3-General before...
but noone answer me, I think I should move it to here~

I want to ask a simple question:
Did each frame in a mp3 file also had it's own header(if a mp3 had 500 frame,
it had 500 header),even the information of the header maybe not same?
or
just the header of first frame contain all the information
of the hole mp3 file.

thank you very much~

Each frame should have its own header. If a header is missing, the frame is corrupt.

Hi Isalec; Just for the sake of clarity, I wonder if you might be using the term "header" to refer to the id3 "tag"?

The id3v1 tag is only at the end of a file, while id3v2 is only at the beginning.

Sorry, if you knew what you meant to begin with. smile.gif
