Full Version: Who is deleting my News Submissions?

I just made a thread in News Submissions regarding Winamp 5.07. First time, the post just disappeared. Second time, it was validated, and came up on the main HA.org page (portal). Now, a few minutes later, the post is deleted again - both from the portal and from Validated News.

What the heck is going on?

Well, Ehm, that's for 5.06..

But whatever, i guess anything thats competitive gets deleted.

I'll just stop submitting news.

Please read TOS #13 carefully instead of complaining. Your post got merged with old topic, not deleted.

maybe it would be a good idea to make clear that the changelog belongs to wa 5.07, i.e. editing the post resulting in something like:

Winamp 5.07 is out.
Changelog:
* Critical Security bug fixed in in_cdda.dll and .m3u handler
(...).

edit: wrong link

edit edit:
uhm, the above changelog DOES belong to 5.07, doesn't it?

Well, Ehm, that's for 5.06..
now I'm confused...

uh, ah, o.k.
now the thread 'Wa 5.06 released' just became 'Wa 5.07 released'...
I'm sorry if I spread confusion (probably only I was confused) smile.gif

btw, I find this method of changing thread titles a bit dirty.
a simple continuation of the old thread with the usual "app x version y is now out" would be nicer, but maybe that's just me.
not wanting to overly critesize here, I just think it's good to have some feedback from time to time.
