I downloading winamp3, and don't see a plugin directory. Is it at all possible to get winamp3 to play mpc files?
Case
Download PP's plugin pack and install either MPC plug-in or Winamp 2.xx input plug-in support (make sure not to install output plugins, they seem to kill WA3).

If you install Winamp 2.xx plug-in support you can use Winamp2 plugin and take advantage of replaygain. To use WA2 MPC plugin in WA3 you need to right click on Winamp, select Windows -> Winamp 2.xx input plug-in support, make the appearing window wide enough to see button labeled "install", click the button and locate in_mpc.dll. Hit open and plugin is ready to use. You can access replaygain configuration through "config" button now.

Be VERY careful. the lates WA3 Plugz is for Build 486 and Winamp 3.0 Final is build 488. While to doesn't crash I have found some very bad things may happen when you install it, and Winamp3 will become even more unstable.

Yes, I had this problem... when I was playing my MPCs in WinAmp3, after some time the program would think the song is over and display that it is playing the next song, but the original song would not be interrupted... it is very strange.

I had that problem with the both the WinAmp3 and WinAmp2 plugins (of course, I mean that the WinAmp2 plugin works perfectly in WinAmp 2.80, but not in 3.0)

Personally, I'm waiting until more people report acceptable stability with WinAmp3 before I install it again. Have fun! beer.gif

Native MPC plugin for Winamp 3.0 is available (Thanks PP). Not much features yet but it works.

DO NOT GET THE CURRENT BUILD OF PP's WA3 Plugz Pack!!! Very unstable.

Peter is currently working on a much more stable version of his plugins pack, which is why we haven't seen an update on his site for 2 weeks, he's trying to get out some really stable stuff for the final version.

Keep checking here every day for the release, quickest way to look (sort by "last modified") http://www.blorp.com/~peter/zips/
