Kova
Hi.
I've got foobar 0.8.2 and running windows xp sp2.
I have ~6000 mp3 songs and when I put them on the list it takes a while while when I move the list for display to update on songs. This is all for first time display and of course while it updates once it's smooth from there. Problem occurs when I turn on search dialog and input some words and program begins searching. First it freezes and then after some time it crashes with log opened in notepad. When I do search on smaller playlist where I've been gone through every songs and every display has been updated it works fine. Actualy this is not a problem for me, just reporting a possible bug. And apart from standard I'm using mp3pro decoder (the one that uses nero's).

here's the output, I can reproduce it any time:

This is the first crash logged by this instance.

Do your files have .mp3 or .mp3pro extension? If you want to use Nero decoder just remove original mp3 decoder provided with foobar. And, BTW, why do you want to use nero decoder? Have you some problems with decoder included in foobar?
Kova
Sorry for delay.
I have mp3pro files in .mp3 extension. 0.8.2 version didn't originally support mp3pro and I think 0.8.3 dosen't also. The creator of foobar who's name I forgot told me he dosen't intend to build in mp3pro support at all when I asked about it first time and I was directed to use nero's decoder.

I noticed that error dosen't occur only when searching for songs, it shows up regulary when I'm only listening to the big playlist (at random). Every time it happened program was updating playlist so I think the problem is somewhere in reading files or possible some thread error (when you do multiple things at once and then comes to conflict).
I'll download the latest version and try to use normal decoder first to see if crash happens again.

There are some patent issues with mp3pro decoder and at this moment there is no chance to include it with foobar installer. This issuse was discussed several times on foovar's forums.

About your problem:
Try to rename all your mp3pro files to mp3pro extension and check if it works.
Foobar's build in decoder will playback your mp3pro files but in poor quality
(because doesn't play sbr part).

Off-topic quesions: why do you still use mp3pro? Search HA forums for other better recommendations wink.gif

First when I heard about mp3pro I thought it's like mp3 just better (size)... didn't know nothing about licesing stuff that it's developer team requested (what a bunch of assh****). Now I'm collecting regular mp3s but converting 5k mp3pro songs to mp3 again (after mp3>mp3pro) is too much and I don't want to lose quality.
