Okay, this is the last one I'm calling "Beta"... assuming I didn't introduce any new bugs wink.gif

Lots o' new features. Mostly little gadgets, not major tools. See the site for all the details.

I tweaked some of the underlying code to work a little faster (in the GUI, not the back end), which is why I'd like everyone to double-check and make sure it works for you. If so, I think I'll just take this version as it is and officially (finally!) call it a "Release" version instead of "Beta".

Have fun with it and stuff.

Where is the CLI only download?
I don't like/use the GUI much, so a CLI only download would be great...

I didn't know there were people who still only used the CLI. Next time I update the CLI I'll post a CLI-only download. This latest release has no changes to the CLI, though.
If you really need the CLI downloaded right now, it's still at

Oops. Found a bug. Actually someone else found it for me, as usual...
It's not a new bug in version 0.9.4 Beta, but it's an old bug that may become more common for new users.

When MP3Gain is using Temp files (see the Performance section in Options>Advanced), if there is not enough room on the drive for the temp file (which ends up the same size as the mp3 being adjusted) then the end of the file will get cut off without warning.

This may become more common because in this version I turned on "Use Temp files" as the default. When mp3gain does not use Temp files, a few computers freeze. I decided that I would rather have mp3gain run a tiny bit slower by default instead of potentially crashing by default.

Anyhow, I see the problem now and I'm fixing it. In the meantime, as long as the drive with your mp3s has plenty of room, or as long as you have "Do not use Temp files" checked, you won't have this problem.
