Hey,

1.Anybody knows any tool good for visualizing MP3 file. It doesn't matter the JPEG or PNG image file. Must be *unix platform. I need it for as part of my project. I found one called classAudioFile which only deals with the uncompressed wav file. I can convert mp3 to wav and do the visualization but I'd rather find a tool directly generating the image of mp3 file considering the speed.
2. I also try to use mp3gain to detect silence file. It seems not working for me.
Any ideas to detect silence file?

HELP!!!!! THANKS!!!!

mp3 is not a lossless codec. This is in the wrong forum.

I am new to the forum. I appologize the confusion. After I realized that I posted under the wrong topic, I reposted it under MP3 topic. I didn't mean to double post at the beginning.
