Well, there are VCR-in-DVD recorder combos, don't know about TV's...

I've never seen that many features either. There used to be TV's with VCR's in them all the time, still are but they seem kinda cheap. Some newer more expensive TV's usually HDTV (LCD, Plasma) have DVD player's.
I do know there are several brands that have DVD recorder's with a built-in VCR.
The problem with allot of DVD player's/recorder's with a VCR is the VCR may only have a playback feature -- it won't record. "Maybe some form of anti-copy stuff to deture people from even trying to copy a DVD to a VHS tape in the first place."
Being an electronic repairist, i have to tell you never to buy either dvd/vcr combo's, or tv's with vcrs built in. By thier very nature, vcr's and dvd's need constant maintence and its a massive pain in the ass to repair a combo unit. When your out of warrenty, it will really cost you from the time we spend fiddling with the unit.
And, on a technical note, the unit will overheat and breakdown often unless you live in a cold climate. In Australia, or any other hot country, i cant stress how much i recommend not to buy a combo unit for any purpose.
