Full Version: CUE support on portable mediaplayers?

Hi,

I have loads of cue+mp3 albums and i would regret having to
split them in separate tracks in order to play them on a portable player.
Question 1:
So, does anyone know if there are portable mediaplayers (preferably hard disk based like iPod/Zen/...) out there which support CUE files?

I know it should be possible to encode such an album to a MP4 file with chapters.
Question 2:
But does iPod support MP4 chapters?
Question 3:
And if it does, is there a good tool to encode MP4 with chapters based on a cue file? (Foobar doesn't do that, right?)

Greetings,

Haven't seen any that do. It would be good if they could, though. It would solve the gapless problem by alternate means. All you'd need to do is rip your albums as one large MP3 and then the CUE file would describe where each track began and ended, as well as displaying the Artist & Titles.
