I have never used Foobar but always here nothing but great things about it. I have a 4 system network.

Notebook
HTPC
2 x desktops

How well/does Foobar work with playing music across a network both wired and wireless. I did some serachs and didnt come up with much about this. I am looking for something similar to how WMP or Itunes handles network audio libraries where you can serach and retreive and update music that is added to one PC in the house.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have wireless network (G standard) in my home - 2 workstations (one of them is running non stop so it may be called a server) and notebook from my mother. There is no problem with playing large files compressed in Monkey's Audio (Extra High). Buffer is set to 1500ms and there are no skips during playback. The same with mp3 files. I also tried to playback movie file (Divx - of course not in foobar smile.gif ) and also there were no problems.

In my work I have 100MB wired network and also don't have problems with smooth playback.
