Hi All,

I see that the Kenwood 5700 DVD player is being sold refurbished for under $200. ThI don't believe that it is being produced any more. Can anyone tell me if it is a good player? Otherwise I am thinking of the Onkyo DV-802. I'd love to hear from you out there.

Thanks
Arlene

Hey,
Im not sure how old the kenwood is, but some older players do have trouble with non-pressed dvd's so i would look into that.

$200 is expensive for a DVD player, and one that has been refurbished without a long warranty.. so go for whichever one has at least a year long warranty. Your dvd player will most likely break down within that time no matter what brand it is. And at least the cheaper it is, the cheaper it is to replace after the warranty expires and it breaks down for the final time on you.
