Hi there,
I have a problem that i have had for just over 2 weeks now and have been unable to fix it. I have 1 desktop, and 1 laptop, sharing an internet connection through a wireless router. The desktop connects to the router with an ethernet cable, and the laptop, a wireless card. Now i have set the internet up and it works perfectly, on both machines, but what i cant get working is the file sharing. My desktop can share files with the laptop, and from the desktop i can see all shared files on the laptop, but whenever i try to connect to the desktop from the laptop, i always get an error saying access is denied. Both machines are running XP sp2 and i have updated them both fully. I have tried the windows help and KB but cannot find a solution.

Can anyone help please?
Thankyou all, and Merry Christmas!!!

What type sharing do you use? I mean, do you have "simple sharing resources" enabled?
Check your new SP2 firewall settings - in most cases it is a troublemaker.

Firewalls on both sides are switched off. I have no clue to what else it could be

Define 'connect'
Do you mean remote desktop connection ?
Remote control session?
