Hello,

I have some mp3 files with a problem I can't solve.
They were not ripped by me, but the people used EAC/Lame to rip them.
The files have excellent low and mid frequencies but high frequencies are very high level and have some kind of distortion.

I have downaloded the same files from different users and the same problem appears. Maybe the files were originally bad from CDs.

I have used MP3Gain, because I was thinking the files was clipping but this not solved the problem.

When I played in Winamp, the spectrum analyser shows like this (almos all the time):

* ---> 60Hz
*
*
*
*
**
***
****
******
********* ---> 16 Khz

If I change the Winamp equalizer to decrease the high frequencies then the other songs (that have no problems) sounds bad, of course.

Please, how can I solve this problem (any software, etc) ?
Thank you.

Hello,

Sorry for my ignorance, but I really don't know what is "Emphasis bit".
Please, can you clear my mind?

Thank you
