Hello everybody smile.gif

here's david from italy.

I ussually try to avoid writing new posts in ng & forum. I just try to search and search.. but thise time i've got no answers to my questions (or better say that i found many half answers or, in the worst case "it' s impossible to that" where "it's impossible" often means "i have no idea about that so you cannot do it"!) dry.gif

I read many 3ed on this board and i'm pretty sure that here i'll find a definitive answer seeing the high level of the users..

(take a look to italian forums and cry with me crying.gif )

Ok, here we go.

i have Audigy 2 soundcard and i output on digital cable to a kenwood 9070d reciver.

The problem concerns playing DTS wav files (even burned on cdr)..
Many of you prabaly know about that problem... it's seems to be a resampling problem: audigy upsample from 44 to 48khz and the stream reach the reciver corrupted.

So here the question N1

Is it possible to bypass the upsampling..?
http://www.asio2ks.de/ <---here i found a generic Asio driver that allows to set samp to 44kh, is it possible to force asio driver on winamp? ohmy.gif

Question N2

Can demux the 6 traks, then resample them to 48khz on audition (cool edit) then join them again? will it works?

Question N3 (last one) even when i burn those wav tracks on CDR i have problems.. Power DVD allows me to output 6ch analog signal and it works, but then, if i set SPIDIF it start "HISSING" (FRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHSHHSHHHHHHHHHHH)
Why it doesn't work? IF i try Divx samples of dts (dts trailers) they works..

Here it is, hope we can solve this in a way or in other.

I really apologies for my English crying.gif and i really thank in advance whooever will hepl me handling this!

I don't know if you're willing to use foobar2000, but I know that foobar has a DTS Decoder.

I personally have not tested this decoder, however there was a post about this that has been active recently.

As far as getting the Audigy2 to not resample, I don't know of anyway to make it not resample. AFAIK it resamples in hardware. The only solution I have ever heard of is to get a new soundcard :\

As far as the hissing problem, I have no idea as I'm poor and I only have a 2.1 Speaker system ohmy.gif
