Could you guys just post your favourite online radio stations (with genre) here? I'm searching for some free house/trance/techno stations, but would also be interested in different genres.

last.fm is a personalised radio station which plays (almost) always exactly what I like

Hey, this stuff is great! I've been listening to it for a couple of hours now and I really like it.

The only personalised radio station I've known so far is LaunchCast, but last.fm is definately better since it doesn't require IE (the authors even recommend Firefox!), has better quality and has no ads. Launchcast does provide a paid subscription option with no ads and supposedly better quality, but I've never been able to try it since it's not available outside the US.

I look forward to seeing other recommendations in this thread.

As far as non-personalised radio stations go, I kinda like Radio Paradise.

Edit: Der_Iltis: If you're looking for house/trance/techno radio stations, you should definately check out Digitally Imported. But I guess you already knew that one...

I will probably start listening to web radio in a month or so once I finally get broadband.

If you use winamp, just find the media library (press alt-L), go to internet radio, and all stations a good number of stations will be listed for you listening pleasure. There's loads more out there, but I've never found the need to look beyond the ones that are listed in that index. If you're looking for house/trance, you'll be overwhelmed by the amount to listen to, and you don't even have to visit any websites...all built right in. Personally, my faves are Secret Agent, Groove Salad, Sleepbot, and all the psytrance stations.

That's what I thought about - a list with a couple of radio stations. Maybe the users could update the index with their favourite stations. Is there anybody out there who can code this?

I use everything from www.shoutcast.com in foobar.

It's possibly my internet connection (DSL), but everytime I try to listen a shoutcast radio (or any kind of internet radio), it takes a long time to load and it cuts every 1 minute at least until foobar buffers it again...

anyone else experienced this problem ?
