Get another 2 of the same type, stack them over the first one, tie rubber bands between the volume knobs so they move toghether and you're set!

No... sad.gif you still miss digital input... what the heck!

No.

Whats the use of a processor then?

You'd have to buy two more stereo amps and use a surround pre-amp to achieve a surround system. There's no way to convert a two channel amp to a mulit-channel amp.

Not recommended.

Possible? How much do you want it? Step one is gut all the wiring. If the amp has multiple parallel power transistors you *could* salvage them into multiple channels at less power. THe power supply could also be used (again, less power per channel)

Let's not forget the decoding of surround information either. If you wanted to send DTS or dolby digital signals to your amp/receiver, you would need the decoding circuitry to do so. Your really better off just spending some money and getting a receiver that is already set up for 6 channels.

lots of soundcards do provide 6 analog outputs, with decoded DD or DTS but you'd still need 3 seperate amps, so still a no-go

I could be wrong but ususally the DTS and DD are decoded by the reciever not the sound card. That is what the optical or digital output on the soundcard is for. It passes the DTS and DD signal to the reciever through the digital line.

That's one way to use a multi-channel soundcard. Multi-channel soundcards also do decode 5.1 or above and output 6 channels to a powered speaker setup.

Is it possible to convert a 1986 VW Golf into a Bell Jetranger? No, not without putting in more time and money than you would need to buy a new one.
