I got a 256 MB player from virgin pulse. The installation CD broke and the driver isn't on the webpage. Anyone have this MP3 player and can send the contents on the CD as a zip file for me?

Why don't you try emailing the company? You are far more likely to get help that way.

Most USB mp3 players will show up as a removable drive in WinXP without any drivers. So you don't need any drivers, just copy your mp3's onto it like you would to any removable drive.

Is it a USB drive?
Does it show up as a removable drive ?
What OS are you using?

its USB but dosent show up as a removable drive. You need the driver. And plugins for it!

Wait a sec.... do i use any programs to make it look like a removable drive? Any drag and drop programs?

Wouldn't it just be easier to type in virgin pulse software in google and getting

If there is no driver it is because XP doesn't need one.

I think it should show up as a removable drive, do you know where to look?

Some USB thumbdrives etc dont work well with certain on-motherboard USB port. Try it in another computer (running WinXP) and see if it shows up as a removable drive.

Note that according to the link posted above by nykobing there are no drivers listed for WinXP. So it mostly likely doesn't need any, the vast majority dont.

BTW What WinXP SP (service pack) are you running ?
