I finally seem to have settled on the iriver series, but which one should I go for? I have several 256vbr ogg albums..is the H320 the only option for bitrates that high? Then again, maybe I will reencode those files to q5..my ears cant tell the difference between q6 and q5..but I had to be a dumbass and go for q8..

Was gonna get the rio karma, but HD is way too unreliable, apparently.

anyone?

I have the H140. It plays all Vorbis files, at all bitrates.

Same with my H120. However they're harder to find now. The H320 and H340 both do as well. The new H10 does not play Vorbis so if that's important to you then you're stuck with the H1xx and H3xx series.

I tested the H120 and the iFP-790 for my site:

its german but the table should be easy to understand ^^

Can these results be extended to the conclusion that iRiver Flash players don't deal with Vorbis properly?

I think the the problem is the weak "CPU" of the iFP series. It isn't able to decode vorbis files with high and low bitrates.
