I just wondered if anyone knew of such a device. The much greater capacity than mp3-cd players would be pretty cool. smile.gif

I know there are portable DVD-Players and they should play mp3s, too.
But IIRC there no mp3-DVD Players without the display.

hey cool, exactly what I was thinking of! pity about the battery life though...

I was also wondering why there werent many discman player's that supported this,
as its pretty convienient to throw 4.7gb of mp3s on a single disc, and youd think
many companies would haved seized this opportunity by now. Apparently sony has one though (MPD-AP20U) , thats capable of playing DVD movies and CD/DVD burning, and the playing of DVD mp3 discs -

Its not a marketed feature of the player, but as youll see written in the formums
ppl have used it with mp3 dvd discs, just it seems to have some problems with DVD-R, so yeah youd have to use DVD-RW or maybe DVD+R. I read somewhere the battery life is decent when playing DVD mp3s but im not totally sure. The biggest problem with these players is the lack of a screen similar to 4GB HD players as you cant scroll through anything with the tiny LCD.

If there was something like the IMP series from iRiver which played DVD's that would be great. Those players have a decent screen on the remote.
