The files you can find on the ESA site are mp3-converted with LAME3.82 yes you read it ok three point eight two ! Shame on them. Never heard of 7zip I suppose...

I read that the aerosol analyzer from the probe can also be heard, at least in the audio of the descent... so not all of those crazy sounds are coming from the atmosphere. 
Yeah indeed but it's nothing like you driving youre 'upgraded' Vespa along the shoreline and recording the sounds of the seagulls ..
