searched for one..the only radio tuner is for FM frequency..is there one that has AM too? thx for reading

I don't know of any that have AM tuners. FM tuners are usually more in demand so I doubt any of them have bothered to include an AM tuner.

FM receivers work well with a short straight anntena that can be included in the heatset cable. Building a very compact AM anntena is much harder so I imagine that ulta compact AM receivers would be rare.

The computer circuitry needed for MP3 playback generates huge amounts of radio interference. Placing an AM radio inside the same case would be problematic. Might be possible to build a radio into the remote control, though. I think Sony has used this approach for some of their ATRAC players.

I would rather just have a seperate radio myself and have a seperate mp3/ogg/flac/whatever player. But thats just my opinion.
