I just noticed an issue with this thread:

while I'm not logged in, the dates of the first two posts do show up as Dec 4 2003.
when I'm logged in, it shows up as Dec 5 2003...

not a big issue, but strange nevertheless.

Maybe it's because you're in a different time-zone than the server is and modified the "You may adjust the base time zone" setting in your profile?

this indeed seems to be the reason. never thought of this obvious matter.
