sorry if it's elementary, but I can't seem to figure it out, and the Wiki documentation links are dead ends --

I just want to know (or be pointed to a link that says) how to create, set preferences for and use a F2K database (the plugin's already installed) so I can, for example, list all the album or artists in my flac file collection. I've already made a playlist that includes every file in the collection, if that matters.

In Preferences, go to "Database" and check the checkbox labeled "Database enabled".

You can restrict it to scan selected directories, or leave it as it is, in which case all files played by foobar will be added to the database.

If you dont already have it, you might want Database Explorer for Columns_UI. Its a tree that sorts your database entries by artist, genre, date, and album.
