Well, I wrote a PM to Fractal_Mortality about the Miranda IM stuff... Forgot to save it in my Sent folder, and I don't want to write it again, so if Fractal_Mortality could, I'd like it if Fractal_Mortality copied it and pasted into this thread.

Well, not to make a big fuss, it's basically the plugins clist_nicer+ and TabSRMM by developer Nightwish... customize away with those. I'm sure you'll find some combination of colors and fonts that you're really happy with. A lot can be done with the contact list in clist_nicer+.

As for the icons, I'm using part Proxal 2.0, which can be found on deviantart and some other places I think, and part AOX set 3. I've reshacked some plugins to get nice icons everywhere.

Oh, mTooltip is a nice plugin too, as you can see in the screenshot

How do i get the tabs at the top of the playlist that say "album" "artist" "track" etc...and when you click on them it sorts the play list by that category

That's columns. The responsible plugin is Columns UI.

Also, can you do that by folder? Like what I mean is...

I have all my music in different folder's based on artist name and then by album. So like, can it automatically create the listings or do I have to do it manually. That is the playlists? Hope you know what I mean...

Just copy you foo_uie_trackinfo.dll and rename it in foo_uie_trackinfo2.dll ... foo_uie_trackinfo3.dll ... an so on. I found this files somewhere here in forum! I hope, they don't have different codes inside. Try it! Otherwise i will send it to you!

Here is mine, using Squeller's trackinfo, mixcherry's SOAP .FCS and I don't know who's buttons, all of these modified to fit my will. Thanks to them though and all of you plugin writers out there (Red text is selected btw, just to show how it looks)

A few changes here and there... Overall, I feel it makes much more "sense" than my previous setup.

pretty basic but i keep it minimized most of the time. It started life as the insomnia config and i modified it heavily. I also have the sidebar with trackinfo when im editing tags and stuff.

My Foobar actally looks like this. I've got SXGA+, so I will use it. (I love the "lossless" column)


I added a track info panel too (code stolen), it looks great.


I installed the playlist tree too, but it's not necessary for me. Although there's some space left.

With my favorite panels for ColumnsUI still to come for 0.9 I had to do one for Standard UI, and now I think I like it better than my 0.8.3 config. It's done in tagscript.



I added a line at the bottom of the the playlist too, so it "groups" an individual album a little nicer:

It's done with good old box drawing characters, plust a little bit of simple math to figure out exactly how long to make them. It's an old trick used a lot before ColumnsUI existed and can be seen on several of the configs here (example). I've uploaded my code here: playlist, window title, status bar, copy command and notification tooltip, in case anynone wants it. Like I said, they are written in tagscript, which is obviously quite different from tagz, but it's actually more readable IMO.

The font is hooge 06_55, 6pt regular. I'm not aware if it's a commercial font or not, so I'm not posting a link to it. Just google it...
