The set I am using is the "special" set modified slightly by me.

Just in case anyone is actually interested, um, i won't give out the configuration. Usually like a dozen people PM me asking for it and it kind of annoys me. What's the point in spending time making your computer look fancy if you know there's a bunch of people copying you? If you have a question about some specific thing i did, i'll answer, but i'm not just handing out the config, sorry. :(

Blasphemy, this windows-theme disrespects the BeOS, it's like the wolf in sheeps clothing.

When you put it that way, it doesn't really sound that favorable for BeOS, but I guess it's not considered nice to disrespect the dead, sheep or not...

Nice config in the screenshot though, and BeOS was pretty good when I tested it. At the time, I felt it was alot better then Linux for an inexperienced user like I was.

Btw: I don't want to turn this thread into an OS war though, and I don't really understand why people would like to fight over such things anyway.

BeOS was indeed maybe the optimal multimedia/consumer OS. And it is the OS which has the architecture which i want (neither centralized nor decentralized). Thats probably the reason why it had to be killed.

I assume you're just controlling foobar via the command line, and if that's the case just use this to toggle the playlist window.

Two questions:

1. How would I place my sidebar above the playlist?
2. How would I tab the panels inside the sidebar?

I just hid my sidebar and placed the panels above the playlist. Using a "Tabbed panel stack" will allow you to add a panel with muiltiple tabs in it. See http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....bed+panel+stack

I can hide the sidebar, and I can get the tabbed stack, but I can't get anything but the menu to appear above the playlist.

You need a second Panel-Stack for it, in toolbar.
Use "Shift + Panel-Stack" to do that.

Found out the problem. I needed to go into Columns UI -> Other -> and select "List all toolbars" and then goto the tab panel stack and set a min height.
