I have many classical tracks too(about 5000).

As I'd like to know people views about tagging, tree building, picture links, timelines and so on when dealing with classical music, I'm going to start a thread about it: would you like to share your views (and thumbs and configs) there?

I've never had to take a screenshot in my life: what would I use to do it?

I typed alt-printscreen to copy the window with focus (foobar) to the clipboard, then pasted it into PhotoShop to save out as a PNG file. You can use much simpler software such as Paint to save as JPEGs and (presumably) PNGs, which tend to be better for formatting strings, though.

This is how I've looked, since I switched to the Columns.
(Takes a couple of clicks to enlarge.)

Relatively simple is how I like it, though I value the tab pulled to the front right now - I can just glance at it when I pull fb2k up from the tray to get information on the playing music.

If anything, I'd like a better spectrum analyser to put in that darn tab.

I think the shadow is part of the oLiGHt string for columnsUI....

My new foobar, after finally sitting down and configuring columns ui and the track info panel. It's simple, the way I like it.

simple... gets the job done... but i would love to get rid of the "panel stack" and "album art"... that's just wasted space telling me useless info that could be used to make more room for the playlists/album list/trackinfo panels

of course that window says minimized most of the time and i use foo_looks to control it

I noticed that the first few pics in the thread have a sidebar-like thing on top of the playlist area instead of beside it. How would I go about doing this?

Also, I see that some people (e.g. first post) have a panel that sorts artists/albums, but also by letter. My Album List doesn't have this option. Any help?

And how about giving names to our configs? I would call mine bubble-gum or smthg...

I like to keep it relatively simple.

Additionally,
Using the %SINGLETRACK% tag
Singles Mode

I'd like to add the shadow effect that Olight has, but I've been too lazy to implement it. Which is why alternating background colors is all I've got.

Some items to note:
- The statusbar isn't mine.
- The tracknumber column is a different color if the file isn't replaygained.
- To trigger Singles Mode, put [s] or a period at the beginning of the playlist name.
- To trigger Single Track Mode, add the %SINGLETRACK% tag in the files.
- If anyone wants to send me color schemes my way (I don't have color coordination/sense), I'd appreciate it.

Xerion, I love the spaced look of your track info, having the title of it on one side and the value on the other. I have been looking for this without success. Can you either post the code from the track info box or tell me where to get it?

Also just wanted to comment on some of the schemes that you (and others) are posting here:

AWSOME!

at first: i will thank all the people who helped noobis like me, to get a professional and customised looking foobar...

i started working on my foobar one week ago, i didn't thought i could reach this level of knowledge, but this was only possible because of this great community (and my interest)! there was no need to post my own questions, the answer was allways the search button on the top! rolleyes.gif

That's a great achievement of all the people here!

Hi there! I've been using foobar2k for a while now, but it's only now I'm beginning to dive into its options.I love the themes that you guys are using! Anyway, I have one rather silly question for you guys if anyone would entertain me.

Right now the strings are set so that it'll either display information as a single or album with color-coded seperators for each album. HOWEVER, if the first track of an album wasn't included in the playlist, the artist information won't be displayed, and there won't be any seperators. Can anyone offer an idea of how to get around it without creating a seperate column just for the artist? I kind of hate seeing the artist and album names being repeated all the time. tongue.gif

Thank you very much.
MrEnergizer
yeah Im waiting for that solution as well Freefall sad.gif

In Title Formatting, go to Status Bar and write this:

$puts(cl_progress,fff0dc)
$puts(cl_progressback,000000)
$puts(cl_text,000000)
$puts(cl_length,fff0dc)

Line: $progress2(%_time_elapsed_seconds%, %_time_total_seconds%,15,$get(cl_progress)'■',$get(cl_progressback)'■'
)$get(cl_text)

You can change the colour as you prefer for progress, progressback, text and lenght and essential, in ColumnsUI you must use LUCIDA CONSOLE 8pt as Status Bar Font

Open ColumnsUI then go to OTHERS, then in the panel about the toolbars, select LIST ALL TOOLBARS. Well, now you can arrange every panel in the top instead in the left sidebar.
