I would like to use Album art plugin, but i never bothered to scan/save the covers.
Im woundering if there is some website where we could get some.

Try this:

http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/

VERY buggy (do NOT try to load directories with more than 10 or 20 subdirs), but it works. Uses Amazon. Should be upgraded soon to fix all the bugs everyone's been complaining about.

Oh, thats great but indeed has some bugs.
Ill keep one eye on that updates.
Thx for the link.

A foobar plugin for this would be great.

If you're in the UK you can use the advanced mode to search Amazon.co.uk instead of Amazon.com.

This sites also great:

www.darktown.com

but you have to search for the covers manually!

I'm kinda neurotic when it comes to organising my MP3's they all have to be oredened the way I tell them and to make them listen I use "Tag & Rename" this program also downloads (most of the time) a cover. When T&R finds no cover mad.gif I download it myself.

I use what topdownjimmy said and it works pretty nice, but like he said it is pretty buggy.. but still better than getting them all by hand!

You are welcome to try the utility I have written. It is a command line app that I wrote in C#. I actually use it with other scripts where I pass the relevant info via cmd line, but you can use it in fb2k with foo_openwith as well.

You can find it here

It relies on you passing the title of track 1 for an extra layer of accuracy so that makes it much less elegant than a no-kidding fb2k plugin. Be gentle, as this is the first thing I have written in C# (app was previously Perl) and I am open to suggestions, although I am not sure I am capable of making it happen yet. The included .htm file has the command line I use with foo_openwith. Let me know what you think.

http://team.thenexusnet.com/nexus/ is ok for mainstream stuff but i found it missed a lot of my electronic stuff as amasons coverage of it can be patchy, i left a request for him to add support for discogs.com as thats where im getting it from so maybe the next version will be more useful to me.

What do those apps do... the ones that get covers off amazon? I took a look, and I can't see any pattern in the query strings. How are the queries constucted?

The one I mentioned assumes that you organize "\artist\album\*.mp3", but allows for manual query as well (in artist and album fields).
