Hi all-
A newbie question. Is there a way to download music using EAC and than transfer to itunes for use with my ipod? Or is there another way to directly get files downloaded from EAC to my ipod?
Thanks in advance!

Hi!

You cannot download music using EAC, since it is an audio extractor (ripper). What you can do with it is transfer music from your CDs to your computer (and then to your iPod), and I suspect this is what you're after.

What you'll need is a tool called iTunesEncode by Otto, which is a command-line interface for the iTunes encoding engine, and can be used from within EAC. The first post in the thread also includes info on how to set up EAC properly.

Not sure how this is related to lossless codecs, though.

Thanks! The link is perfect and will get me started! smile.gif
