I'm desparately looknig for a portable mp3 recorder with built in FM
radio and the possibility to upload recorded files to the PC.

I know of the archos recorder (with 20 GB hard drive) but it is way too
expensive.

I'd rather find a recorder with smart media card expandable memory.


Any suggestions ?

iRiver iFPxxx series have FM radio, built-in mic and a line in. You can record from any of the three and transfer the recording to your PC via USB2.0. They are flash memory players and don't use memory cards, though.
