Hello everybody.
I burned a cd with cd-text, that displays information about song title and so on, but, when I play the cd in foobar (v.0.8.3) putting it in a new playlist, I can see only "cd track 01" etc.
How can I manage to display song titles and other information? I searched some info in the forum, but I couldn't be able to find anything.

AFAIK foobar's cd reading plugin does not support reading cd text. One thing you can do is just use freedb plugin to download info about your cd.

AFAIK not many software players support CD-TEXT, it seems to be aimed at standalones and car stereos. Plextor have a CD TEXT player, but it might only work with Plextor drives... Software players seems to rely on freedb.org or other CDDB database...

i was very happy to get information from CDtext when i ripped "no rest for the wicked" (Ozzy Osbourne) with EAC some days ago...
Don't know if many people use foobar as ripping software however...
Thankx to everybody. I don't have a permanent internet connection and it would be nice that Foobar will have this kind of feature. I hope for the future.
FWIW at least a few rippers will read CD-text (dbpoweramp CD grab, and audiograbber)
