Hello everybody.
I burned a cd with cd-text, that displays information about song title and so on, but, when I play the cd in foobar (v.0.8.3) putting it in a new playlist, I can see only "cd track 01" etc.
How can I manage to display song titles and other information? I searched some info in the forum, but I couldn't be able to find anything.
Thanx
AFAIK foobar's cd reading plugin does not support reading cd text. One thing you can do is just use freedb plugin to download info about your cd.
Download this plugin from this site:
http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/tagging.phpAFAIK not many software players support CD-TEXT, it seems to be aimed at standalones and car stereos. Plextor have a
CD TEXT player, but it might only work with Plextor drives... Software players seems to rely on freedb.org or other CDDB database...
ANy way CD text reading ability is cool when we do not have any inetrnet access at home...
i was very happy to get information from CDtext when i ripped "no rest for the wicked" (Ozzy Osbourne) with EAC some days ago...
Don't know if many people use foobar as ripping software however...
