What is the tag "D" for?

I find this in some of the albums I have, and i cant search the forums as it wont allow a single letter search.

Maybe it is custom tag added by someone to identity something...

I *think* it's used to ignore 'something' eg.
if using the masstagger to read in the following file name:
Band1-Track1-jibberish.mp3 using the mask %artist%-%title%-%d%,
it would read in correctly whereas without it you would end up with '-jibberish' appended to the end of %title%.

What kinds of things is this tag set to?

bah, some are disc numbers (as in cd1), some are various artists tags. nothing important, and they are scattered through my directory. as they have no meaning to me, i shall remove them.
