Revorb is a new utility for lossless and near-lossless editing of Ogg Vorbis files.
Its key benefits:
- It allows you to use any .wav-file editor
- It has zero generation loss on editing
- Revorb is known to run on Linux with Python 2.3, and may also run on other platforms

Download Revorb at
http://web.mit.edu/~bens/Public/revorb/

Revorb is Free Software under the GPL.

That's a bit misleading (or at least easily misinterpreted). Still, nice idea.

Thanks. Yeah, I suppose that it would be more accurate to say that it can very easily be lossless if you restrict yourself to slice+concatenate editing. On the other hand, the ability to be lossless when possible and non-lossless when not possible, inside the same file, is really my favorite part.

Quite a clever idea.

I think Audacity (or some other X app) has had the same capability for some time. It uses concatenation.

Sorry... I was just going up a directory to see if there was a homepage for the software. Ran into the picture completely by accident and thought it was cute. :-)

Bens, put an index.html file in that directory to stop people viewing apache's directory listing output.
