When I run Columns UI on WinXP and enable Popup Notifications, the popup notification balloons do not show up.

Any thoughts?

Do you have the system tray icon enabled?

i think the thing that's being pointed out here is about volume updates and such don't appear with columns_ui.

i use keyboard shortcuts for my volume control, and it doesn't give me an update of '-17.50 dB', etc as i change it...

Same problem here. When ColumnUI is used as the User Interface the Popup Balloons don't work. Also from the Components menu, this option doesn't work. In the default UI it works fine.

Must be a bug in ColumnUI. Well, it's not a disaster, that it doesn't work. Foobar is just the best mp3-player out there!

But I can't blame a specific version of fb2k/columnsUI, since I installed latestet versions on 3 computers w/XP and "only" 2 fail to show the balloons...

Do you have xp-antispy or a similar program, that could block popup notification balloons?
There are several programs which are able to do this.
