It seems to me that there is a surge in subscriptions to HA and very... how could I say?... maybe "naive" questions posted and answer given by new members.

Can the administrators check if my feeling is correct and if this can be a case of "trolling" or deliberate sabotage of this forum quality?

Newbie member behaviour has been like this as long as I can remember

And we get this "surges" every now and then.

And with the increasing popularity of iPod and its brethren, I suspect there is going to be even more.

So we'll just have to be patient.

The situation is under control in most cases... if any 'newbie' steps out of line the regulars would put him back in his place quite quickly.
