I notice that in the guide to using Mp3Gain at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....=ST&f=15&t=3274
It recommends checking the "enable maximizing features" option in MP3Gain's advance options. Once the box is checked Mp3Gain throws up a warning box basically saying that this is not a good idea

Is the recommendation in the guide still valid? If so, any explanation of the option would be great.

FYI Am using v1.2.5 of Mp3Gain.

That thread explains all. I think it would be helpful if one of the moderators made that thread a sticky because it's a subject that always comes back up, the old MP3Gain guide has 40916 views which is more than recommended LAME compiles & recommended LAME settings threads.
